Pomona, CA – A remarkable milestone has been achieved at Fremont Academy of Engineering and Design. Senior Aylin Hernandez-Carlos has made history as the first-ever student in Pomona Unified School District (PUSD) to achieve a 5.0 GPA and be named Valedictorian of her graduating class.
Aylin’s academic journey has been nothing short of exceptional. Throughout her time at Fremont Academy, she has excelled across all six GPA measures, including Overall GPA, Overall Weighted GPA, Cal Grant, College GPA, College Weighted GPA, and Valedictorian criteria. Her consistent excellence in core subjects like English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Science, and Foreign Languages has earned her the highest honors in the Class of 2025.
In addition to her academic achievements, Aylin has set her sights on a bright future. She plans to attend the University of Southern California (USC), where she hopes to blend her passion for music with her academic prowess in pursuit of a career as a music executive.
